2025 Reputation Index Winners

Credit Unions Ranked No.1 in Ireland – Three Years in a Row!

We are proud to share that credit unions have once again topped the Ireland Reputation Index 2025, ranking #1 for the third year running. With a reputation score of 82.4, credit unions were one of only two organisations to achieve an ‘Excellent’ rating. Credit unions ranked first in key areas such as Citizenship, Conduct, and Workplace, a strong reflection of member’s continued trust and support.

Latest Car Draw Winners

Each month, one lucky CANA Credit Union car draw member is randomly selected to win a brand-new Nissan Juke Hybrid SV Premium in our Car Draw. Did you know that you can enter the draw for only €1.50 per week? Fill in the entry form on our website and maybe you will be the next lucky winner?

All contributions to the draw go directly towards funding the prizes which means that the credit union makes no profit from the draw itself. If surplus funds remain at the end of the year, we use them to offer additional prizes – like our year-end draw in 2024, which awarded one lucky member with an extra car and a further 15 members with €1,000 each.

Credit Union Site Visits

Earlier in the spring we were delighted to visit the Stamping Building at Dublin Castle to promote membership and credit union services to Revenue Staff. A big congratulations to Sinead, Ciara and Tara who were the lucky winners in our on-site competition. Thank you to the team in the Stamping Building for welcoming us to the office.

On the 20th May, CANA Credit Union was on-site in the O’Connell Street Complex for the BT, CAT & Stamp Duty Conference. The lucky winners of the on-site competition draw were Sabrina, Elaine and Luke. Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to the O’Connell Street team for facilitating our visit.

Daffodil Day Fundraiser – Athlone

Well done to everyone in the Revenue Office in Athlone, along with the Athlone Social and Wellbeing Committee, for hosting a fantastic Daffodil Day Coffee Morning in support of the Irish Cancer Society. Together, they raised an impressive €840 for this very worthy cause. CANA Credit Union was proud to support their efforts with a €200 donation towards the fundraiser.

Education Bursary 2025

Are you or your child starting college this September? Don’t miss the chance to apply for the CANA Credit Union Education Bursary 2025.

Each year, we award €2,000 to two students, paid directly into their CANA account for each of the first three years of their college course. To qualify, applicants must be entering first year and be a member of CANA Credit Union.

Applications will open in August, keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for updates!

Liaison Officers Annual Meeting

On the 23rd May, we were excited to host the Liaison Officers Annual Meeting in Dublin. It was great to see so many of the incredible volunteers from all over the country attending the meeting to discuss and review the strategic plan. We would like to thank all of you for the great work you do to promote CANA Credit Union to your co-workers in offices across Ireland.
